A Toro TC3000 string trimmer has a two-cycle motor which requires fuel and oil to be combined with each other to run and lubricate internal parts in precisely the exact same time. A wrong mixture of too little or no oil in the mix can cause immediate and irreparable motor damage. Too much oil in the gas causes a smoking exhaust, loss of motor power and oil leaks from the muffler.
What Is the Ratio?
The right fuel and oil mixing ratio for a Toro TC3000 trimmer is 50:1. It’s 50 parts petrol to 1 part two-cycle oil. Mix 1 gallon of fuel with 2.6 ounces of oil to work with the trimmer’s motor in the optimum lubrication in the fuel system.
Mixing Fuel Correctly
Mix your oil and oil correctly by using a clean gasoline can that holds 1 gallon. Pour about 1/2 gallon of fresh gasoline into the can. Add 2.6 ounces of two-cycle oil. Place the cap on the gas can also swirl it to blend the contents. Add the remaining 1/2 gallon of gas to the can, replace the cap and swirl it to blend it thoroughly. You can purchase the mixture already composed at home improvement centers if you would like not to blend your own.
