Grease splatters on kitchen walls be obvious and could happen suddenly, or they can develop over time without noticing. If you’ve moved into a new house or apartment in which the previous tenants lived for some time, you might not realize how much buildup exists on the walls from grease, steam and dirt. Clean your kitchen walls when you go into a new home and frequently thereafter to keep grease splatters and stains in check.

Blot grease stains with a paper towel. Towels as they become saturated. Till you can’t get rid of any additional grease continue blotting.

Kitchen walls with rag or a sponge dipped in hot water and wrung out. Hot water helps to soften grease buildup on walls.

Rinse the rag or sponge and wring it out. Pour undiluted vinegar onto the rag or sponge to assault thick grease stains.

Scrub grease stains using a hard-bristle brush, if necessary. Re-apply undiluted vinegar as necessary until the stains are gone.

Add 1 to 2 cups of ammonia to 1 gallon of water for use to remove the stains using a hard-bristle brush the vinegar cannot. Rinse walls cleaned using rag or a sponge with vinegar dampened with water. Dry the wall using cloth or a clean towel before employing ammonia.

Fill two buckets. Insert a generous squirt of mild dishwashing liquid or one tbsp of liquid laundry detergent to one of the buckets for the final washdown. Swish gently to make suds. .

Dip a white rag into the sterile water and wash a 3-foot section of the wall, beginning from the bottom.

Continue cleaning the walls within this pattern, refilling the bucket with detergent and water bucket when the fluids become filthy.
